The history and the philosophy of Mi-C3 is in its name which is a combination of two acronyms. The genesis of the technology was in supporting Command and Control for organisations that needed technology to improve their situational awareness to manage and secure their facilities. However our technology enabled Command and Control to be enhanced with Collaboration (C3) as organisations were empowered with multi-directional communications that took command and control to a new level as more decision-making could be automated and information flows organised in a way that reams of data are transformed into meaningful intelligence (Mi).
Generations of the software know their origins to a project that started around 12 years ago to support a large oil and gas company operating in the Niger delta to manage its complex operation spread over a wide and poorly accessible geographical area in a context of considerable security risk.
That project required the automated collection of data from remote devices. It was the beginning of the Internet of Things before the term was yet in common parlance.
The experience created the opportunity to deepen our company’s expertise in connecting people and devices in a business and to develop powerful operational processes that exploit this connectivity to the fullest extent.
We have branded our core product as Affectli representing our ambition to help businesses become more effective in the way they work, constantly sharpening their operational prowess in order to get closer to their goals. The branding of the product accompanied a re-imagining of the user experience which is now intuitive, contemporary and which allows content to move across devices seamlessly adapting in its presentation to the large screens at a control centre or the CEO’s mobile phone and anything in between.
