In its effort to strengthen its management capabilities, Mi-C3 International has engaged Sebastien Nicolas as its new Chief Operations Officer to lead our employees in the transformative phase the company is going through. Sebastien not only takes on the operational role, but also as Executive Director on the Board.
Sebastien has significant experience working in C level roles, with over 20 years of experience in all aspects of Information technology within the oil and gas industry and a strong track record in complex operational management.
Sebastien worked as Head if IT for the Kashagan project, from its early beginning in 1998 until 2004, during which time the operations scaled up from around 30 employees to 3000+ with onshore, offshore locations. In 2004, Sebastien joined Petro Kazakhstan, a listed Canadian company operating in Kazakhstan. He was brought in to integrate the IT for upstream, downstream, and marketing. The China National Petroleum Company (CNPC) group acquired PetroKazakhstan in 2005. In 2013 he was appointed executive board director of Richfit International Kazakhstan, to service all CNPC companies in Central Asia. In 2016, Sebastien served as Deputy General Manager for Richfit International, a company created to service all CNPC projects outside of China.
Sebastien knows Mi-C3 International very well having provided external strategic consultancy to its management team for several years. He now steps in to the operational helm.
